OUR STORY
Started with Salt, Pepper & Lola
That's us, Yash and Nic. Salt and Pepper are Nic's cats. Lola's mine. We couldn't find fresh pet food we trusted, so we started cooking it ourselves.
We're software engineers by day, but on weekends we found ourselves testing recipes in our own kitchens for Salt, Pepper, and Lola. Back then, most pet food brands in Singapore talked about 'premium ingredients' without really showing what was inside the pack. We wanted something simpler: real ingredients, clearly explained, with nothing hidden behind marketing terms. So in 2024, we rented a small industrial kitchen in Pioneer Crescent and started making the kind of food we'd feel good feeding our own pets every day. That's still how we do things now. Same recipes, same standards, same care we'd give our own furkids. And every recipe is published openly on our site, right down to the gram.

Is fresh pet food worth it compared to kibble?
Fresh gently cooked meals are more digestible, retain heat-sensitive nutrients (taurine, B vitamins) that kibble's extrusion destroys, and typically produce better stool quality, coat shine, and weight management. Start with a Sampler Set and see the difference in 2 weeks.
How do I transition my pet to The Bon Pet?
Gradual 3-5 day switch: Day 1-2 at 25% new / 75% old → Day 3-4 at 50/50 → Day 5+ at 100% new. Monitor stool throughout. If your pet is on kibble, this transition is especially important. WhatsApp us for tailored advice.
How long do frozen meals last?
Frozen: up to 1 year from manufacture (Best Before printed on each pack). Thawed: 2-3 days in a sealed container in the fridge. Never refreeze once thawed.
My pet has allergies. Can they eat this?
All recipes are single-protein to minimise allergy risk. No artificial preservatives, colours, or fillers. If allergies are known, WhatsApp us with details and we'll recommend a suitable protein (Kangaroo is a popular novel protein for sensitivities).
Do you deliver across Singapore?
Yes, island-wide cold-chain delivery. Pick a 4-hour delivery window at checkout. FREE delivery over $100, $4 from $80 to $99.99, $9 under $80. Same tiers for cat and dog. Driver makes up to 3 delivery attempts.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
